Wulanda to host the 2023 South Australian Country Swimming Championships

Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre is excited to host the 2023 South Australian Country Swimming Championships.

This is a flagship event on the South Australia swimming calendar and will showcase Wulanda to the state and beyond. The championships will be held over five days from Wednesday 4 January to Sunday 8 January 2023.

It is expected that 400+ athletes will compete at this event from regional South Australia as well as from interstate and Wulanda will be a hive of activity. The community is encouraged to share in this great event by watching events and enjoying the food trucks on site.

For our regular swimmers you will still have access to pools on slightly adjusted availability. 

The outdoor 50 metre pool will be used exclusively for the championships from 5.30pm on Wednesday 4 January until the end of the weekend - re-opening as normal on Monday morning.

There will be some interruption to the indoor pools with a closure of the entire pool hall from 3pm on Thursday 5 January to allow for the opening ceremony and indoor race meet.

At all other times there will be normal access to the indoor pool areas with the championships just using four lanes of the 25 metre pool.

We apologise for any inconvenience and encourage you to enjoy the carnival atmosphere of the championships.
